# Buy crypto (on-ramp)

Buy with a card through a partner, delivered to your address.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Not enabled yet.** The **Buy** button is switched off in the current release (v2.4.1). This page describes the flow as it will appear once a provider is live.
{% endhint %}

The wallet does not sell crypto itself. **Buy** hands you to a partner provider that accepts cards or bank transfers and sends the coins straight to your address.

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Read the consent

Home → **Buy**. *This purchase happens at {provider}, which receives your address and applies its own terms, identity checks and fees. The funds arrive directly in your account.*
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Check the receive address

The **Receive address** is your watch-only address. Verify it on the Vault if the amount is large.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Continue to the provider

**Continue to {provider}** opens their site. Follow their steps. Some providers cannot receive the address automatically: then *copy your address below and paste it there as the receive address*.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

{% hint style="info" %}
No signature is needed to *receive*. Your Vault stays in its drawer for this one.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://doc.lockerprotocol.com/browser-extension/buy-crypto.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
